Emergency crews responding to fire at Edwardstown, South Australia

Police and fire crews are at the scene of a business fire at Edwardstown.

Just before 2am on Thursday 16 December police and MFS crews were alerted to a fire at an industrial building on South Road.

A number of MFS appliances are in attendance to fight the fire.

The cause of the blaze is not established at this stage and police fire cause investigators will be attending the scene later this morning.

The roads are open around the site the however the fire is causing smoke to drift across Edwardstown and surrounding suburbs.

Residents are advised to remain indoors and close all doors and windows until the smoke has passed.

Motorists are reminded to slow down to 25kmp around emergency vehicles.
