Encouraging Singaporean tourists to visit

Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade

A new marketing campaign will attract more tourists from Singapore to visit Australia.

The $4 million Yours to Explore campaign will go live in Singapore tomorrow, as quarantine free travel begins from Singapore to Australia on Sunday.

Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment Dan Tehan, who travelled to Singapore this week to promote Australian trade and tourism, said Australia was well placed to attract tourists from Singapore and beyond.

“The start of quarantine free travel for vaccinated citizens from Singapore on 21 November is an important step forward for the tourism industry,” Mr Tehan said.

“Re-opening to Singapore is an important step as we look to rebuild international tourism to Australia and move towards welcoming tourists back from around the world.”

“Australia wants to attract as many visitors as possible to support our local tourism jobs and businesses as part of our recovery from COVID-19.

“Australia has long been a popular destination for Singaporeans, who spent $1.53 billion on their travels here in 2019.”

“Tourism Australia’s Yours to Explore advertising campaign will encourage Singaporeans to return by highlighting the incredible travel experiences we have to offer.”

Pre-COVID, Singapore was Australia’s sixth largest source market for international visitation and seventh most valuable for spend.

The campaign is scheduled to run until June 2022.
