Emerging musicians and singer/songwriters are invited to submit original songs to the Y4Y eMergent Sounds Song Competition.
Shortlisted songs will be published online where members of the community can vote for their favourite song for a People’s Choice award. The winning song will be awarded a prize of $1000.
Shortlisted songs will also be included in the eMergent Sounds playlist, which will be part of the Y4Y Big Chair Project. The completed Big Chair artwork will include a QR code that members of the community can scan to listen to the playlist.
The shortlist judging panel will be makde up the Y4Y team and members of Council’s Youth Services team.
Through creative connection, the eMergent Sounds Song Competition aims to recognise, celebrate and value local young emerging artists.
