Central Coast Council is seeking Expression of Interest submissions from local organisations to hire an established pop-up bar container throughout the 2022-23 financial year.
Hire of the bar container creates pop up opportunities and experiences at Town Centres across the region, with the aim to encourage visitation, support local businesses and enhance liveability across the Central Coast.
The 20ft shipping container is fully fitted out as a pop-up bar and will be available to successful applicants to hire monthly; for a minimum of one (1) month period up to a maximum of three (3) months. Council will be responsible for transport of the container to and from approved location provided by the successful organisation, with site visits required to determine suitability and access prior to moving the container.
With an internal space comprising 6m x 2.4m, equipment available in the pop-up bar container including ample storage cupboards, extended serving windows, chiller fridges, warming display oven, glasswasher, keg system, hot water system and more. Bar tables and stools can be provided at the request of the organisation.
It is a requirement that organisation maintain required insurances throughout the duration of the hire period, including Public Liability Insurance to the sum of $20 million, and Workers Compensation insurance covering any employees of the principal organisation (where relevant).
Awarded dates and location for hire are subject to availability and at the discretion of Central Coast Council.
The EOI is open from Wednesday, 10 August and closes Wednesday, 31 August at 5pm.
What are the fees and charges?
Successful applicants are to cover costs required for hire of bar container, and paid in advance of container hire period:
• Hire of the bar container is $1200 incl. GST per month.
• Bond of $500 incl. GST
• Moving cost of the container are dependent on site, access and equipment required with costs ranging from $250 to $2500 incl. GST.
