Over the coming weeks, EPA authorised officers will inspect industrial precincts in Hume City to check businesses are preventing stormwater pollution risks to local waterways. Under the Environment Protection Act, businesses must take reasonable steps to reduce:
- the risk of spills
- the risk of leaks and
- other reportable offences in their operations.
