Erosion control works on Yarra River

There are currently erosion control works on the Yarra River in Abbotsford.

The works, between Dight Falls and Turner Street, are being done by Melbourne Water and are expected to be completed by 13 May 2021. These works are necessary to restabilise the Yarra River embankment where significant erosion
has occured, improve the passage for fish and protect the City of Yarra’s Main Yarra Trail.

What does this mean for you?

During the duration of the works, there will be disruptions to shared user path traffic on the Main Yarra Trail.

When will the works occur?

The works are scheduled to take place between Tuesday 4 May and Thursday 13 May.
