Erratic driver arrested at Para Hills, South Australia

A man has been arrested after driving erratically across Para Hills a short time ago.

About 12.30pm on Monday 7 October, a member of the public reported that a silver Holden sedan had crashed into his car on Allen Drive, Para Hills, before taking off.

A police patrol spotted the vehicle driving erratically on Bridge Road, Para Hills a couple of minutes later and tried to pull it over. The car turned into Hoods Road where the driver abandoned the car and ran into a nearby premises.

Police followed and immediately arrested him.

The 46-year-old Modbury man has been taken to the Lyell McEwin Hospital by ambulance for assessment and have blood taken.

He has been arrested on an outstanding warrant and investigations into the crash and driving offences are continuing. It is expected that he will be charged with driving unregistered, uninsured, unlicensed and engage in a police pursuit.

The Holden sedan has been impounded.

Anyone else involved in any collisions or near misses with this vehicle is encouraged to report it to police.
