Evade Police Arrest 9 September

Regional Operations Group officers have charged a man following an evade police incident last night, Tuesday 8 September 2020.

Around 11:20pm officers attempted to stop a white Holden Commodore utility that was travelling north on Beechboro Road North in Beechboro. It will be alleged that the driver of the utility failed to stop for police and continued at speed through Alexander Heights, Girrawheen and Malaga.

Police arrested the driver just after 11:30pm after the utility travelled down a laneway and crashed into a bin behind a commercial building near the intersection of Marshall Road and Guadalupe Drive in Malaga.

A 32-year-old man from Mount Nasura has been charged with:

– Driver of a vehicle failed to comply with a direction to stop (circumstance of aggravation)

– Reckless driving to escape pursuit by police

– No authority to drive (disqualified from holding or obtaining

– Possess a Prohibited Drug (Cannabis)

– Possess a Prohibited Drug (Methylamphetamine)

He will appear in the Midland Magistrates Court today, 9 September 2020.
