Event funding opportunity through NSW Government 30 June

Parkes Shire

The NSW Government recently announced a $200 million recovery package for regional NSW that will create new jobs and support community events and festivals to boost tourism and help rural communities reconnect.

As part of this program, Parkes Shire Council has been allocated $239,651 to support existing and new events across the Parkes Shire. As part of the program, Council is required to submit an application identifying key priority events for the Shire to receive funding.

To help identify the priority projects to include in the funding application, Council recently called for Expressions of Interest from community and sporting event organisers in the Parkes Shire for eligible existing events or new events.

The following events have been shortlisted and will be included in Council’s funding application to the NSW Government:
