Cr Walker said the Goulburn Mulwaree Community Events Program will deliver a diverse array of events across the region, aimed at rebuilding local community cohesions and delivering some positive social outcomes.

“The events have been selected to address a wide variety of needs and special interests across the year, with a strong mix of new and existing events,” Cr Walker said.

“Following the cancellation of two years of events, the community have been great supporters of the return of events, and ensuring events remain relevant, timely and cater to the various wants and needs of the Goulburn Mulwaree community.

“Our thanks goes to Mrs Tuckerman for her strong support for our application, and for assisting us with funding from the NSW Government,” Cr Walker said.

Mrs Tuckerman said the Community Events Program will support the events and hospitality sectors, while bolstering economic recovery.

“People have been disconnected from family and friends but now they’re getting out and about again, we want to see communities thriving and businesses benefitting from more local activities, events and opportunities in regions like Goulburn,” Mrs Tuckerman said.

“We are backing events that bring local communities together and this funding will help contribute to a sense of improved wellbeing and connectedness in 2022 and beyond.”
