Police are investigating after an excavator was torched at Lockleys overnight.
Police and fire crews were called to Castlebar Road, Lockleys at 1.10am on Sunday 30 April by reports of a fire.
Crews found an excavator well alight. The excavator was parked behind gates at the site of a house under demolition.
MFS crews extinguished the fire, which is believed to have been deliberately lit.
The excavator was completely destroyed.
Crime scene investigators are attending the scene this morning to try to determine the cause of the fire.
