Transit Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance after a man performed an explicit sexual act on a bus in Balwyn in February.
Investigators have been told a 14-year-old male youth boarded a Doncaster-bound bus at Macleay Park about 6.35pm on 12 February.
Shortly, after boarding the youth noticed a man engaging in an explicit sexual act.
The victim exited the bus on Belmore Road in East Balwyn with the man remaining onboard.
At the time of the offence, the offender had an arm in a sling and was carrying a teddy bear.
The victim saw the man a couple of weeks after the incident and took a photo of him.
Detectives have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
