With a change of season around the corner, there’s plenty of new sustainability events at our Eco Living Display Centre. This spring, we’re especially excited to launch the Home Harvest Exchange – a monthly event for sharing home grown produce and enjoy lunch! Read on to find out more!

Home Harvest Exchange

Are you growing more fruit and veggies in your garden than you can eat? You’re not the only one! Bring your excess produce to our home harvest exchange and swap with other hobby-gardeners. No coins needed – fresh produce is all the currency you’ll need at the harvest exchange.

Meet like-minded people and pick up some handy tips along the way. Stay a little longer and enjoy a free vegan lunch!

No waste cooking on an induction cooktop

With the State Government requiring new residential builds to be all electric from 2024, you might be curious about induction cooking. This educational cooking experience focuses on smart and simple ways to reduce our household’s food waste – all demonstrated on an induction cooktop!

School holiday program: Art in the food garden

Learn how to make art from food plants, from berry paints to plant prints. Suitable for 6-12 year olds.

How to electrify your home

This free workshop will detail how and when to transition different appliances and outline the benefits environmentally, for your health and for your budget. It will include an expert speaker and a Q&A session.

DIY upgrades for renters and homeowners

Living sustainably doesn’t have to involve big renovations and installations. If you rent your home or are on a tight budget, there are many things you can do to improve the energy efficiency and comfort of your home.
