Expo is seniors’ moment to reconnect

Janelle Smith says the Batemans Bay Library is the perfect place for the shire’s seniors to reconnect, with a smorgasbord of activities for the 2022 NSW Seniors Festival in early April.

The library team leader said older Eurobodallans deserved their own special event after months of COVID related social distancing and health measures.

“Our Seniors Festival Expo on Saturday 2 April has something for everyone; a fun and entertaining day made to bring people together and socialising again,” Ms Smith said.

“There’s a beginners art workshop, singing workshop, dog skills demo by the Canine Club, book sales, and photography exhibition, with food and drink available for purchase. All from 10am to 1pm at the Batemans Bay library.”

Ms Smith said the expo was part of the NSW Government’s Seniors Festival week, with events across the state from Friday 24 March to Sunday 3 April.

“People wanting to try out our singing or beginners’ art workshops will need to book, otherwise just turn up. Other events running in Seniors Festival week include free bush-friendly garden talks and Brain Training for Seniors workshops,” she said.
