Expression of interest – Audit Committee Independent Member

The Swan Hill Rural City Council Audit and Risk Committee assists Council to fulfil and oversee its Governance responsibilities, and management of operational risks.

The position of an Independent Member of the Audit Committee has become vacant and Council now seeks Expressions of Interest from suitable individuals to fill this position.

A person with professional qualifications in Engineering, Project Management of Community Services is preferred for the position, however anyone interested in the position are welcome to apply.

The Audit Committee meets quarterly usually in Swan Hill. Meeting duration is approximately 2 hours however considerable pre-reading of material is often required. A fee of $500 per meeting plus travel allowance at ATO rates is paid to the Member.

The position offers the successful person the opportunity to contribute to the community and learn about the inner workings of Local Government.
