Due to unforeseen circumstances the road closures present on Pomona Road, Stirling, will be extended to Friday 8 May 2020. Council received formal notice of this extension from the contractors constructing the new culvert under Pomona Road as part of the Aldi development.
The issues causing the delay are primarily a result of impacts on SA Water mains water and sewer pipes located in Pomona Road where the works are being undertaken. It is understood that the water service is anticipated to be disrupted on Tuesday 24 March to enable the culvert works to occur. All affected residents are being notified of this disruption by SA Water. It is also understood that the contractor will notify residents along Pomona Road of this delay.
The contractor will reinstate pedestrian access on Pomona Road prior to 8 May 2020 as soon as it is safe and practical to do so.
