In some cases, ASQA is empowered to approve transition periods longer than those detailed in Clauses 1.26 (a), (b) and (c) of the Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015.
In accordance with the Guidance for Providers – Learner Transition, ASQA considers transition requests, where it can be demonstrated that there would be genuine disadvantage to a cohort of learners, if such an extension was not approved.
ASQA has recently amended an earlier decision to extend the transition period for the following qualification:
- CHC43115 Certificate IV in Disability
The extended training, assessment and certification issuance period for this qualification ends on 31 July 2024. It permits new enrolments in this qualification, however all students must have either completed or be transferred to a replacement qualification by the transition end date.
This qualification will remain on RTO scopes of registration until the end of the extended transition period.
