Tasmania Police has extradited a 31-year-old man from Western Australia in investigations into an alleged serious assault and the alleged production of child exploitation material.
Officers from Tasmania Police’s Western Criminal Investigation Division extradited the former Devonport man from Perth and travelled back to Tasmania on Friday.
The charge of grievous bodily harm relates to an alleged assault at Devonport in December 2020, while the charge of production of child exploitation material relates to offences alleged to have occurred in 2022, across January and February.
The man has been remanded to appear in court on Monday.
