Extreme speed arrest, South Australia

A driver will face court after caught speeding at Dry Creek overnight.

Just after 1am on Sunday 27 February a patrol detected a car travelling at speed on the North South Motorway. PolAir was in the area and monitoring the car from above. The driver of the Hyundai was observed travelling at 190km/h in a 90km/h zone.

PolAir tracked the vehicle to Greenacres where the driver was met by patrols and arrested.

A 20-year-old man from Greenacres was charged with driving a motor vehicle at extreme speed. He has been bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 11 April

His vehicle was also impounded for 28 days and he lost his licence on the spot for twelve months.
