The BOM have advised that thunderstorms and some flooding is expected across parts of the state over the next few days. The potential flooding will be due to heavy rain, tides are predicted to not be of concern and the river is not expected to overtop. Rainfall totals from Thursday to early Sunday morning are expected to be 20 to 80 mm in some areas, isolated falls up to 100mm are also possible.
We will have additional staff working overnight on Friday and Saturday to ensure that stormwater systems are functioning effectively and that stormwater can flow away from built up areas.
