A day of environmental adventure and family fun is on offer at Berrinba Wetlands on Saturday, June 11.

The free day of entertainment will allow visitors to explore the 8.5km of nature trails and walkways and meet creatures that call our waterways and bushlands home.

The event follows Council’s Logan Eco Action Festival on Sunday, June 5 at Griffith University’s Logan campus, Meadowbrook.

Environment Chair, Councillor Jon Raven, said Berrinba Wetlands is one of the best natural environment reserves in South East Queensland.

“This is a great chance to learn more about the beautiful Berrinba Wetlands and get a close-up view of the amazing birds and animals that live in our city’s premiere environmental park,” Cr Raven said.

Bike tracks link more than 40 hectares of wetlands, and families are urged to bring their wheels for a ride.

Attendees will also learn about creating habitat and protecting native wildlife.

Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Bookings are essential. Visit Eventbrite to secure a place.

The event is part of Council’s annual Eco Forum.
