Police are currently at the scene of a fatal collision at Salisbury West that claimed the life of a woman this afternoon.
It is believed a truck and a car collided on Bridgewater-Serpentine Road about 4.45pm.
The female driver of the car died at the scene.
She is yet to be formally identified.
Her female passenger was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The truck driver is assisting police with their enquiries.
The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be established and Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are attending the scene.
Road closures are expected to remain in place for some time between Bridgewater and Serpentine.
