Fatal crash at Andrews Farm, South Australia

Police are investigating a fatal crash in Andrews Farm early this morning.

Emergency services responded to the collision on Andrews Road, just after 12.30am on Saturday 26 January.

The white Audi sedan was travelling on Andrews Road and left the road colliding into a fence at the intersection of Lillypilly Walk.

Sadly, the 19-year-old female passenger of the car died at the scene. The driver of the car, a 19-year-old man from Davoren Park and three other passengers received minor injuries and were taken to the Lyell McEwin Hospital.

The driver was arrested and charged with aggravated causing death by dangerous driving and driving disqualified. He was refused bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrate Court on Tuesday 29 January.

Andrews Road is blocked to all traffic, from the intersection of Curtis Road and Hutton Avenue.

The road is expected to remain closed for several hours while Major Crash investigators examine the scene.

The woman’s death is the tenth on South Australian roads this year. The road toll at the same time last year was five.
