A man has died following a single vehicle crash in state’s south last night.
About 6.50pm (Wednesday 15 May 2024), emergency services were called to the Cobb Highway at Mathoura, about 20km south of Deniliquin, following reports of a single vehicle crash.
On arrival, officers attached to Murray River Police District were told the vehicle left the roadway and hit a tree.
The male driver died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified.
A crime scene was established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this crash has commenced.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
