Police are investigating a fatal crash at Mawson Lakes this morning.
Just after 2am Thursday 6 April emergency services were called to Main North Road, just north of Elder Smith Drive after a van that had been travelling north lost control and left the road crashing into a tree in the centre median strip.
Sadly, the driver and sole occupant, a 63-year-old One Tree Hill man, died at the scene.
North bound on Main North Road remains closed while Major Crash officers are at the scene.
The man’s life is the 42nd life lost on SA roads this year compared to 20 at the same time last year.
