A cyclist has died following a hit-run collision in Cobungra this morning.
The man was riding a bicycle on the Great Alpine Road when he was struck by a vehicle believed to be an orange Ford Ranger about 8.35am.
The cyclist, a 62-year-old Queensland man, sadly died at the scene.
The vehicle left the scene and was last seen driving toward Omeo.
The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be determined and investigations are ongoing.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are deploying to the scene.
