Fatal Motorbike Crash at Ayr, QLD

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a fatal motorbike crash at Ayr last night, September 12.

Initial investigations indicate at around 12.30am, a blue Yamaha WR450F was travelling south along a footpath near the Bruce Highway before it crashed.

The rider, a 38-year-old Ayr man, was declared deceased at the scene.

The passenger, a 34-year-old Ayr woman, was transported to Ayr Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses, including anyone with relevant information or footage, are urged to contact police.

Investigations are continuing.
