A pedestrian has died after a crash in Sydney’s south.
About 9.25pm yesterday (Sunday 28 June 2026), emergency services responded to reports of a crash between a pedestrian and a vehicle along Newman Street, Mortdale.
NSW Ambulance paramedics and officers from St George Police Area Command performed CPR on the pedestrian – a 40-year-old woman – but she could not be revived and died at the scene.
The 19-year-old male driver was uninjured and was taken to St George Hospital for mandatory testing.
A crime scene was established and examined by specialist police.
A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
