Forensic Crash Unit officers are investigating after a woman died in a traffic crash at Noosa North Shore overnight.
Initial inquires indicate at 9.15pm a 4WD was head south west on Maximillian Road approaching the ferry landing of the Noosa River when the vehicle has failed to stop and has gone into the Noosa River.
The driver, a 67-year-old Southport man, has managed to get out of the vehicle.
The sole passenger, a 69-year-old Wongawallan woman, died at the scene.
Forensic Crash Unit Investigations are continuing.
