The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a car at North Ipswich last night, 27 August.
Initial investigations indicate an 81-year-old woman was on Simmons Road at 10.35pm when a white Nissan X-Trail reversed into her, knocking her to the ground.
The woman sustained serious head injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.
The 84-year-old woman driving the X-Trail was not physically injured and is assisting police with their investigations.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam vision is asked to contact police.
