Police are investigating a fatal, two vehicle crash near Charters Towers tonight.
At about 7:48pm, police were called to the Gregory Development Road, one hour south of Charters Towers, following reports a ute had collided with another car.
One person was located deceased and another person was air lifted to Townsville Hospital with serious injuries.
The Highway is closed in both directions, Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
