Sections of the Fernleigh Track between Gateshead and Whitebridge will be temporarily closed on Monday 24 April to Friday 28 April.
The track will be open for the ANZAC Day public holiday on Tuesday 25 April.
There will be limited access in the affected sections while works take place from 7am to 5pm. Traffic controllers will be on site to redirect pedestrians and cyclists.
The closure allows for geotechnical consultants to undertake a condition assessment of damages identified along the Fernleigh Track and investigate embankment failures.
We apologise for any inconvenience during this closure. Geotechnical investigations are an essential first step in future repairs of the track.
