Greater Shepparton City Council is reminding parents, guardians and carers to register their three and four-year-old children for kindergarten for 2027.
Registrations can be made online via Council’s website and first round offers will be released from Friday 7 August 2026.
Council facilitates kindergarten registrations for most funded kindergarten programs in Greater Shepparton. There is a wide selection of kindergarten services available, each offering different locations and programs to suit individual needs of children and their families. A full list of providers is available online.
Council’s Director Healthy Communities and Liveability, Briana Baass, encouraged families to research which service would best suit their child’s needs.
“With several different services available, there is a kindergarten to suit every child in Greater Shepparton. Parents and carers can visit Council’s website to find out more and to secure their child’s place in kindergarten for 2027,” she said.
Registration for Three‑Year‑Old Kindergarten (two years before school) follows the same central process as Four‑Year‑Old Kindergarten (one year before school). Families will be allocated a place with a service provider in line with the Access Criteria Guidelines.
Three-Year-Old and Four-Year-Old Kindergarten is free or low cost for families that meet the eligibility criteria. If your child attends a kindergarten program in a long day care centre, fees may still apply. For more details, contact your early childhood service.
