Statement Finocchiaro CLP Government expresses sadness at passing of Indigenous leader Bakamumu Marika AM

The Finocchiaro CLP Government has expressed its sadness at the passing of Bakamumu Marika AM, a respected Yolngu leader, cultural custodian and relentless advocate for his people.
Founder and patron of Rirratjingu Aboriginal Corporation, Mr Marika dedicated his life to strengthening opportunities for Yolngu people.
His wisdom, generosity and dedication to his people will be remembered with great respect, and his legacy will continue to inspire future generations.
