Council is aware of a fire at a private property in Davis Road, Broadford, and is working closely with the Environment Protection Authority (EPA), Country Fire Authority (CFA), Victoria Police and other agencies to support community safety and keep residents informed.
Current situation
The CFA is monitoring the fire and suppression works will begin once crews can safely access the site.
The EPA is focusing on air quality and will begin atmospheric testing at nearby residential properties today. Ongoing monitoring of smoke and odour is underway.
