About 9.05pm, police received a report of a disturbance at a residence on Tyler Street involving a man and woman known to each other.
It will be alleged the man made threats towards the woman and pointed a handgun at her following a tenancy dispute.
A coordinated police response was initiated, and the man was arrested without incident about 9.25pm.
Following a search of the residence, police allegedly located and seized a number of firearms-related items, including replica firearms, firearm parts, 3D-printed firearm components and more than 200 rounds of ammunition. Two handguns were also seized and will be subject to ballistic examination.
The 34-year-old man from Tuart Hill has been charged with:
• 1 x Without Lawful Excuse Point a Handgun or Prohibited Firearm at Another Person
• 1 x Unlawfully Possess a Handgun, Prohibited Firearm or Major Part of a Handgun or Prohibited Firearm
• 1 x Possess or Acquire Ammunition Without Authority
• 1 x Possess a Prohibited Weapon
The man appeared before the Perth Magistrates Court on Monday, 20 July 2026, where he was granted bail. He is next due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on Monday, 17 August 2026.
