Firearms stolen after break-in at Taree home, NSW

Police are appealing for public assistance after two pistols were stolen from a home on the state’s Mid North Coast.

Just after 5am today (Saturday 1 June 2019), officers from Manning/Great Lakes Police District were called to a home on Kalimna Close, Taree, following reports of a break-in.

Two pistols, ammunition, and a laptop had been stolen.

The occupant, a 65-year-old man, was not home at the time.

A crime scene was established at the home, which was examined by specialist forensic officers.

Local detectives commenced an investigation and are appealing for anyone with information that may assist with their inquiries to come forward.
