A first constable from eastern region has been charged following an internal investigation.
The 34-year-old male officer has been charged with unlawful assault and assault with a weapon.
These charges relate to an alleged incident in Warrandyte in May last year while the officer was on duty.
He has been summonsed to appear at a magistrates’ court at a later date.
