Flood Waste still accepted at Waste Management Facility

While bookings for Flood Waste Collection have now closed, reduced fees for flood waste drop offs at the Hawkesbury City Waste Management Facility (WMF) will remain in place until 31 August 2022. After 31 August, full fees will apply.

To be eligible for the reduced fees, flood affected residents need to bring proof of address such as a Driver’s Licence or Rates Notice.

The Hawkesbury City WMF is open for all Hawkesbury community members 7 days a week from 8am to 4pm at 1 The Driftway, South Windsor.

Standard charges apply for other waste that is not flood waste and for residential properties that were not flood affected.

Waste will be checked at the gate. Loads containing asbestos will be rejected. Please follow landfill and gatehouse attendants’ instructions at all times.

When handling any refuse which has been contaminated with flood water or mud, personal protective equipment must be worn, especially gloves. After clean-up, protective clothing should be washed, and people should shower within the hour for health and safety.
