Floriade is coming to Wollongong

Spring is just around the corner which means Floriade, Australia’s biggest celebration of spring is almost here!

Next Tuesday, Floriade will be road tripping up from Canberra to visit Wollongong.

Popping up at Tally Ho Café, there will be 150 free coffees and tulips from 7:30am on Tuesday 13 August.

Floriade, Australia’s biggest celebration of spring, returns to Canberra from Saturday 14 September until Sunday 13 October – finishing off with everyone’s favourite Dogs’ Day Out on the 13th.

Floriade runs in Canberra from Saturday 14 September to Sunday 13 October. This year’s theme is World in Bloom, which visitors will see reflected in flowerbeds and entertainment programming.

Floriade showcases some of the best food and beverage offerings from across the capital. Spend a day exploring the flowerbeds, listening to live music, while eating and drinking to your hearts content. The warm honey doughnuts are a must!

Floriade NightFest returns for four nights, including the Labour Day long weekend, from Thursday 3 to Sunday 6 October with spectacular new lighting displays and live entertainment to be announced in coming months. Tickets on sale now.

No Floriade would be complete without the return of Dogs’ Day Out. For one day only, event organisers invite visitors to bring their four legged pals! With speciality stores just for dogs (including non-alcoholic dogs’ beer!), lots of extra doggie activities and breed group photos it’s definitely a day not to be missed!

Beyond the gates of Floriade, Canberra is brimming with must-see-and-do experiences this spring. With a stellar food and wine scene, a multitude of museums and galleries and endless natural attractions just waiting to be explored, discover why the capital was named third in Lonely Planet’s top 10 cities in the world to visit in 2018. Don’t miss West Side Story at the Canberra Theatre (10-20 October) and DreamWorks’ Animation: The Exhibition at the National Museum of Australia (from 20 September), or get back to nature during the school holidays with the Wildfest® Pop Up Wilderness Family Camp at Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve.
