Football Australia is opening up nominations to be submitted for the Hall of Fame class of 2021.
The Football Australia Hall of Fame recognises extraordinary performance over a career by players, coaches, referees, administrators, media and participants who have made a significant contribution to the game in Australia.
Nominations close on 31 December 2021 at 11:59pm AEDT, with the football community encouraged to submit their recommendations on who should be the next inductees.
The nominations that meet the following criteria will then be judged by a panel of historians:
- Players have to be retired for a period of five (5) years
- Coaches, referees, administrators or media representatives may be recognised for their overall sustained contribution to the game
- Recipients of an Australian Football Award may also be considered
- Nominees must be Australian citizens
- All nominations must be for individuals
Note: Unsuccessful nominees may be re-nominated in subsequent years
