A former prison officer has been charged following a joint investigation between the Corruption and Crime Commission (CCC), Department of Justice and the Western Australia Police Force.
It is alleged that the officer breached a CCC directive when she discussed restricted matters with another prison officer on Wednesday, 19 August 2020.
The 31-year-old woman has been charged by WA Police Force’s Financial Crimes Squad with ‘Disclosure of a Restricted Matter’ under the Corruption, Crime and Misconduct Act 2003.
She is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today, Wednesday 2 September 2020.
