Strike Force Vulcan officers are investigating a bushfire that occurred in Forrestdale around 3pm on Tuesday, 3 December 2019.
The cause of the fire is being treated as suspicious and it is believed the fire started in bushland on Oxley Road.
Investigators wish to speak to the driver of a black coloured, older model Mitsubishi Pajero that was seen in the vicinity of Commercial Road around 2.45pm and Kargotich Road heading towards Oxley Road at around 3.05pm.
Any members of the public who were driving in the vicinity of Nicholson, Commercial, Kargotich and Oxley Roads in Forrestdale between 2.30pm and 3.30pm who have dash-cam vision of the area is asked to come forward.
Anyone with information regarding this fire or who saw any suspicious people, or vehicles, particularly the black Pajero, in the vicinity of the fire, is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au. Callers may remain anonymous if they wish.
Rewards of up to $50,000 are available for information that leads to the identification and conviction of an arsonist.
