  • Forrestfield and Kalamunda Community Cabinet held this week on March 24 and 25
  • The McGowan Government’s Community Cabinet meetings give local residents and organisations the opportunity to meet with the Premier and Cabinet Ministers, to discuss local issues and open community dialogue.

A key feature of the McGowan Government’s Community Cabinet is the Town Hall meeting, where hundreds of local residents attend and have the opportunity to discuss pressing issues that matter to the Forrestfield and Kalamunda areas, and pose questions directly to the Premier and Cabinet Ministers in a public forum.

Discussions facilitated by local Members of Parliament, Forrestfield MLA Stephen Price and Kalamunda MLA Matthew Hughes at a series of community meetings, forums and events will focus on local job-creating industries, including small business and tourism.

The Forrestfield and Kalamunda Town Hall event will be held on Sunday, March 24 at the Kalamunda Club.

A series of Community Cabinet meetings are held throughout the year. Each visit comprises a formal Cabinet meeting, and may include formal and informal community consultations affecting the area or the wider State.

As noted by Premier Mark McGowan:

“Community Cabinet meetings are vital in providing Cabinet Ministers and I with more opportunities to visit various towns and areas, across the State, to gain more community insight.

As noted by Forrestfield MLA Stephen Price:

“The McGowan Government’s Community Cabinets are a wonderful opportunity for residents and businesses alike to hear firsthand from Cabinet Ministers and understand how the Government is implementing its Plan for Jobs.

“I am glad to have secured the latest Community Cabinet series and I look forward to showing my colleagues around this growing electorate.”
