Four people have been charged with alleged drug offences following an investigation in the state’s New England region.
In June 2026, officers attached to New England Police District established Strike Force Nollo to investigate the alleged supply of prohibited drugs, including methylamphetamine, cocaine and GHB in the region.
Following extensive inquiries, between 6.50am and 9.15am on Friday 25 September 2026, police executed a search warrant at three properties in Armidale.
During the searches, police allegedly located and seized four firearms, an amount of ammunition, cocaine, Methylamphetamine, and GHB.
Four people – three men, two aged 31 and one aged 47 and a 50-year-old woman – were arrested at the properties and were taken to Armidale Police Station.
One of the 31-year-old men was charged with 40 offences;
- Supply prohibited drug more than small and less than equal to indictable quantity (23 counts)
- Supply prohibited drug less than equal to small quantity (10 counts)
- Supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis (four counts)
- Participate criminal group contribute criminal activity (two counts), and
- Supply prohibited drug more than indictable and less than commercial quantity.
The second 31-year-old man was charged with 10 offences;
- Participate criminal group contribute criminal activity
- Supply prohibited drug less than equal to small quantity (two counts)
- Possess ammunition without holding licence/permit/authority (two counts)
- Possess unauthorised firearm (four counts), and
- Possess prohibited drug.
The 47-year-old man was charged with nine offences;
- Supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis
- Supply prohibited drug less than or equal to small quantity (two counts)
- Supply prohibited drug more than small and less than equal to indictable quantity
- Supply prohibited drug more than indictable and less than commercial quantity (four counts), and
- Participate criminal group contribute criminal activity.
The woman was charged with five offences;
- Supply prohibited drug more than indictable and less than commercial quantity (three counts)
- Participate criminal group contribute criminal activity, and
- Supply prohibited drug less than equal to small quantity.
All four people were refused bail to appear before a Bail Division Court on Saturday 26 September 2026.
One of the 31-year-old men was formally refused bail, with the second 31-year-old man granted strict conditional bail, both to reappear before Armidale Local Court on Monday 12 October 2026.
The 47-year-old man was granted strict conditional bail to reappear at Armidale Local Court on Wednesday 21 October 2026.
The woman was granted strict conditional bail to reappear before the same court on Monday 12 October 2026.
