Four charged with drugs, weapons offences following search warrant – Armidale

Four people have been charged with drugs and weapons offences following a search warrant in the state’s New England region.

In August 2026, Western Region Operations Support Group commenced an investigation into drug supply and firearms related offences in the Armidale area.

Following inquiries, about 6am today (Friday 28 August 2026), police executed a search warrant at a home on Fayle Avenue, Armidale.

During the search, police allegedly located and seized 10g methamphetamine – that has a potential estimated street value of $1500 – cannabis, 10mg diazepam, a drug ledger, drug supply paraphernalia, a zombie knife, three-star knives, and five mobile phones.

Police arrested four people at the address; two men aged 28 and 64, and two women aged 18 and 64. They were all taken Armidale Police Station.

The 28-year-old man was charged with seven offences,

  • Supply prohibited drug greater than indictable and less than commercial quantity
  • Possess prohibited drug (two counts)
  • Possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit (two counts)
  • Possess/attempt to, prescribed restricted substance, and
  • Fail to comply digital evidence access order direction.

He was refused bail and faced Bail Division Court 5 today (Friday 28 August 2026), where he was formally refused bail to reappear before Armidale Local Court on Monday 14 September 2026.

Both the 64-year-old man and 64-year-old woman were charged with supply prohibited drug greater than small and less than or equal to indictable quantity, and possess prohibited drug.

They were each granted strict conditional bail to appear before Armidale Local Court on Monday 19 October 2026.

The 18-year-old woman was charged with possess prohibited drug and breach of bail.

She was refused bail and faced Bail Division Court 5 today (Friday 28 August 2026).
