Emergency services have responded to a collision in Pine Lodge near Shepparton that has left four people dead.
It’s believed a car and ute have collided on Pine Lodge North Road, near Cosgrove-Lemnos Road, about 4.45pm.
The driver of the ute was not seriously injured and stopped to assist at the scene.
There were five people in the vehicle that ended up in a nearby paddock.
Four people, who are yet to be formally identified, have died at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle has been airlifted in a serious condition.
The exact cause of the collision is yet to be determined at this stage.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are en route to the scene.
