Four lives lost in two car crash at Redbank

Four people, including a young child, have died as a result of a crash at Redbank overnight.

Early investigations suggest a black sedan was travelling east in the westbound lanes of the Ipswich Motorway when it collided with a four-wheel drive around 11.15pm.

Both vehicles caught fire.

The young child was travelling with two adults in the four-wheel drive. They are yet to be formally identified.

A 34-year-old man was the sole occupant of the black sedan.

All four people died at the scene.

Crash investigators are asking anyone who witnessed the black sedan prior to the crash to come forward.
