Fourth person charged with murder in Riverstone

A man has been charged with murder after the fatal stabbing of a man in Sydney’s west in May.

Just after 12.30am on Sunday 24 May 2020, emergency services were called to a home on Langton Street, Riverstone, after reports that at least five males entered a home and a 39-year-old man was fatally stabbed.

A 34-year-old woman suffered minor injuries and was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene. A 42-year-old woman, also home at the time, was not injured.

Following an investigation by Quakers Hill Police Area Command, with the assistance of the Homicide Squad, three boys – two aged 17 and one aged 16 – were arrested and charged with murder. They remain before the courts.

After an arrest warrant was issued for a man yesterday (Thursday 4 June 2020), at about 7.30pm, a 20-year-old man attended Blacktown Police Station where he was arrested and charged with murder.

The St Marys man was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court today (Friday 5 June 2020).
