Fourth suspect arrested over Park Holme Robbery, South Australia

A fourth suspect has been arrested as police continue to investigate an assault and robbery at Park Holme earlier this month.

Just after 1am on Monday 4 October, patrols were called to a takeaway shop in the Park Holme shopping centre, after two men and a woman attempted to drag a man out of a Mercedes sedan parked at the front of the shop.

The trio stole a bag from the victim before following him into the store. A further altercation took place inside the shop where another man was hit in the head with a hammer by one of the suspects and a woman was kicked.

The group then fled in a gold Toyota Landcruiser with SA registration XBH881.

One victim was taken to the Flinders Medical Centre for treatment of minor head injuries.

Just before 10.30am on the same date, police received information that the wanted Landcruiser was parked at a house on Milner Road, Hilton. Investigators attended and located the suspect vehicle in the rear yard of the property.

Following investigations, Southern District Detectives attended a Hilton home just after 5pm on Thursday 7 October and arrested a 31-year-old man. He was charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated assault causing harm, assault and theft. He was refused bail and appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court yesterday.

About 2am on Friday 8 October, a 21-year-old man from Port Augusta presented at the Hindley Street Police Station and arrested on other matters. He has since been charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated assault causing harm, assault and theft. He did not apply for bail and appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday 11 October.

Later that evening, Southern District CIB also arrested a 22-year-old man at Christie Downs in connection with the robbery. Police will allege that he was at the scene and in company with the other three suspects at the time of the incident.

He was charged with the same offences and refused police bail. He appeared in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on Monday 11 October.

Last night, the fourth suspect, an 18-year-old woman of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated. The woman was refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.

The investigation is continuing, including the use of credit cards stolen during the robbery.
